About Papa Earth
The traditional method of eating local entails finding the farm, connecting to the farmer, finding a butcher, transporting the products and storing it in a large freezer. We believe that this is a great way of shopping for local and natural meats; however a lot of work is involved. Papa Earth makes this experience easier. We understand the importance of convenience and saving time in today’s fast pace society. Papa Earth takes great care to source farms that raise livestock within our philosophy; free roaming animals, no use of added hormones and or sub therapeutic antibiotics and feed them a proper natural diet. We started back in 2016 as a simple box order service by phone and launched our online store in October 2018.
All of our products are processed at registered facilities that are regulated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Our trusted butchers tailor cut, vacuum-pack and flash freeze our meats and pack them ready for shipment. We deliver them refrigerated box right to your doorstep. All you have to do is select your box and frequency, cook & enjoy!
Why Papa Earth
Quality: All our products are personally tested by us and are clean; free of food dyes, preservatives and no water chilling or pumping. We only source the highest quality and use artisan butchers.
Convenience: Our boxes are home delivered. Each product is individually vacuum sealed and easily defrosts within approx 30 minutes because they are flash frozen. This results in no food wastage and no more last minute runs to the store.
Local and humanely raised: All our suppliers are located in Ontario. They maintain ethical and humane farming practises which means free-range or free-run.
Our family farmers and ranchers dedicate their lives to something bigger, and deeper, than pristine landscapes, green acres and contented cows. They choose to raise the very best beef, naturally. This daily commitment isn’t idealistic – it’s the ideal for natural beef.
Our chicken farm is located outside of Orangeville Ontario and is a family run operation in which the chickens are free-range. Our breeds are White Rock broiler cockerels and pullets which are raised without antibiotics and the fed consists of vitamins, minerals, pro-biotics and vegetable grains.
We are proud to exclusively offer Verified Canadian Pork that is both traditionally raised and minimally processed. From the beginning, our hogs are bred to provide excellent quality. They are fed a complete vegetarian diet free from animal by-products, which includes a number of locally grown grains such as, barley, wheat, corn, rye and canola.
